Secretary of State Brunner is up to Her old Tricks Again |
The lesson Ohio learned late Friday is NEVER trust a career politician! A clearly political action Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner again reared her ugly head. After all she is the Queen of elections; she is the ultimate decider of who is elected in Ohio and who isn’t, no matter what the committees say and no matter what the people say.

Local Mayor Pushes Back Against Public Unions |
On February 24th, Cuyahoga Falls Mayor Don L. Robart delivered his annual State of the City Address. The highlights are worth sharing. He said what many of us have known for years; Public Unions should not be allowed. The restrictive contracts and lavish pensions they have force on all levels of government stand to financially destroy our nation. Kudos to Mayor Robart for boldly pointing out what so many officials in government know to be a true. It's time we the people remove unions for the public sector, once and for all!

TEA Party Members Rally Behind Steve Christopher…Why? |
We all remember what many are calling the TEA Party’s first electoral victory, Scott Brown in Massachusetts. The seat was practically guaranteed to a Liberal Democrat, and the people spoke up to change the outcome with their voices and their pocket books.
Before that there was Doug Hoffman, an independent who gained national attention, and again a lot of donations after the people woke up. Why? The GOP didn’t hold a primary, and picked a RINO of the worst order, one more Liberal then the Democratic offering.

What is the New Summit County Republican Party? |
Over the last year I have watched a group that calls themselves the “New Summit Republicans” and wondered just what they are all about after seeing blogs they posted that were critical of local Republican leadership, as I have been. A post of mine last November pointed out the battle for control in our county party, and noted that it’s website was a complete blank only days before an election. This resulted in many prominent members of the party calling and asking “Are you a New Summit County Republican?” My response was no, considering no one had issued me a card, or shown me a secrete handshake, or invited me to any meetings. I then began to look into this movement a little more, and the more I looked the more concerned I became.

The Threat of Regionalism |
Your child has just come home from school and told you that a school program they enjoy has been cut. You’re puzzled, since you just voted for a new levy two years ago that was supposed to cover these programs. Your school board tells you that even with the increase in revenue, cuts needed to be made. A portion of your community’s new taxes are now going into a new ‘regional pool’ to support other school systems, systems that may not have passed their own levies for years.
