Congratulations to Democratic Senatorial Candidate Coakley, the latest recipient of the Obama Kiss of Death.

President Obama appeared at a lackluster event in Boston where the room with a meager 3000 person capacity couldn’t even be filled, something the almost never happens for a Presidential appearance.  He then proceeded to spend the majority of his time trashing Coakley’s opponent in between shouted downs by anti abortion protesters.  The result was nothing short of a complete blowout.

The Obama Kiss of Death is nothing new, and the more people look into this the more people are realizing that his endorsement of anything is almost a guarantee for failure.  Need some examples?

Copenhagen 1.0 - The president travels with Michelle in tow, to wine over the Olympic Committee for the 1216 Olympics to be held in Chicago.  Not only did Chicago get picked over, they were the first finalist to be eliminated.

Copenhagen 2.0 – The President returns to help push through a massive Global Warming agreement….errr Climate Change agreement.  At the highly promoted International Summit, no agreement was reached.

New Jersey Governors Race 2009 – President Obama made multiple trips with numerous campaign stops on the Garden State to help Jon Corzine with the Governor’s race.  The end result of that race wasn’t even close.  Along with the Democratic loss in the Virginia Governor’s mansion, many pendants compared the losses to the 1993 elections which signaled the beginning of the 1994 Republican Revolutions.

While the list could go on and on, let me instead leave you with a photo.  Asked this guy how he faired in 2008 after the Obama Kiss of Death.  Case closed.
